Content Coordinator, Avila Foundation
After spending a little over half a decade protecting and serving Birmingham, Alabama as a police officer, Jordan felt called to serve others in a different way. Through developing his own company, he found creating YouTube videos to be one of his many natural talents, ultimately leading him to discover his passion for all things digital media. Since 2014, he has continued to develop these passions and callings and now enjoys putting his talents to use serving others through the Avila Institute. He resides in North Alabama with his beautiful daughter.
Mission Development, Avila Foundation
Kristin Priola is the Mission Development Coordinator at the Avila Foundation. Receiving the position was providential and in God’s perfect timing. Although cradle Catholic, in college she reverted and became confirmed in the Church. Kristin graduated with a degree in Communications from Samford University. She still enjoys ministering to college students through the Samford Catholic Student Association and is happy to be a part of the Firelight ministry. Kristin is blessed to be married to her husband, William.
Founder and President, Avila Foundation
Dan Burke is the founder and President of the Avila Institute for Spiritual Formation, which offers graduate and personal enrichment studies in spiritual theology to priests, deacons, religious, and laity in 72 countries and prepares men for seminary in 14 dioceses. Dan is the author and editor of more than 15 books on authentic Catholic spirituality and hosts the Divine Intimacy Radio show with his wife, Stephanie, which is broadcast weekly on EWTN Radio. Past episodes can be found, along with thousands of articles on the interior life, at SpiritualDirection.com. In his deep commitment to the advancement of faithful Catholic spirituality, he is also the founder of Apostoli Viae, a world-wide, private association of the faithful dedicated to living and advancing the authentic spiritual patrimony of the Church. Most importantly, Dan is a blessed husband, father of four, grandfather of one—and grateful to be Catholic.
Executive Director, Avila Foundation
Stephanie Burke serves as the Director of the Avila Foundation. Having completed her graduate studies in Educational Administration at Texas A&M University, she has successfully served in school administration for over 25 years in both Catholic and secular institutions. She received her undergraduate degrees in Spanish and Vocal Performance from Texas Tech University and is a graduate of the Spiritual Direction Program of the Avila Institute. She is grateful to serve alongside her husband, Dan, in the important work of the Avila Foundation, Apostoli Viae, and has a particular passion for the important work of the High Calling program which she oversees. They are parents of four amazing adult children, one beautiful granddaughter, and spend their leisure time serving the Church.
