Who is AwareNest?

We are a joyful, open community of sustainability workshop facilitators, 
rooted in the Swedish Climate Fresk network. We use many tools and workshops (often inspired by Climate Fresk) to spread sustainability awareness and engage people from all backgrounds. Based on science, brought to you with the best pedagogy methods.
Learning together and from each other! Join us!

Our mission is to trigger the personal and collective shifts required to bring back societies within the principles of the doughnut economics: wellbeing for all, within safe planetary boundaries!

Explore our workshops (and register!)

In the two sessions of the day, we will play these world-famous workshops in parallel in small groups (up to 7-10 people).
Pick one workshop in the morning and/or one in the afternoon!
Good news: after taking the workshops, you can train and join the team of facilitators at AwareNest.
Duration: 3 hours for each workshop
Language: English or Swedish (check on the tickets)
What to bring: just yourself and your water bottle! No prerequisite.

The Biodiversity Collage
Understand the challenges and pressures around biodiversity through a fun, collaborative, visual, and accessible workshop, based on the IPBES report. Learn more here.

Climate Fresk Junior (Age to 10-16 years)
The workshop will teach you the fundamental science behind climate change and empower you to take action. With now more than 2 million participants all over the world, its pedagogy and community model have inspired tens of other workshops. Learn more here.

The Ocean Collage
A collaborative workshop to collectively understand ocean issues, both in terms of threats and opportunities, and how to act at the individual and collective level! Learn more here.

How much does the event cost?

We want everyone to feel welcome at the festival. This edition has a 75sek registration fee per workshop + a flexible conscious participation (set at 50sek by default - please adjust this amount according to your financial possibilities).

All facilitators and organizers are happy volunteers. However, in order to organize such events, we have costs with the fika, and reimbursing train tickets of the facilitators who don't live in town. Any excess will be used by AwareNest for future events like this one!

Will there be food?

Thanks to your participation by buying a ticket, we will make sure that sugar and caffeine do not run out. We will serve fika throughout the day with tea, coffee, fruits and light snacks. Any homemade contribution to the fika table is welcome and much appreciated! 😋
If you want to have lunch on site, you have two options: bring your own (cold) food, or buy a yummy wrap through us for 79sek. Please select the option in the order form :)

Can I invite my work colleagues?

This event is organized and run by volunteers, and the main goal is to invite the general public.
Although the topics are relevant for your professional activities, we expect you to join primarily with your "private person" hat on, just like us. Our community is happy to deliver all these workshops in a professional context, if that is of interest to your organization. Therefore, our rule of thumb is: maximum 2 participants from the same company. This does not apply to non-profit organizations.

Can I come late/ leave early?

Please reward yourself and the other festival participants by attending the full duration of the workshops that you register for! Arriving late or leaving early could significantly affect everyone's experience. You are welcome to join for one workshop only, if the full day is too big a commitment. 

I can't join now... will there be other opportunities?

Of course!
Through our new NGO AwareNest we will organize other events in Sweden. We are also happy to collaborate with other organizations. Get in touch with us!

How can I pay?

Please pay by Swish within the 24h after your registration. If we haven't received the payment, the ticket will be released.
