One session 10:00-13:00
(pick one workshop in the tickets section)
We will play our famous workshops in parallel, in small groups (up to 7-10 people). These workshops aim to help us find meaningful individual and collective actions based on a robust understanding of a topic, that is built together as a group.
After playing them, you will be able to get trained as a facilitator, and maybe join us at AwareNest?
Duration: 3 hours for each workshop
Language: English unless specified
Learn more about the morning workshops:

Memories of the
Future: Do you remember what it was like when we won?
In the Memories of the Future workshop,
we challenge the common image of the future as a depressing apocalyptic
dystopia with eternal darkness and misery. Instead, we travel to a future where
change is actually taking place and where we have also changed our view of
society and what a good life can consist of. In Memories of the Future, we not
only go on a mental journey of discovery, but we also use LEGO® to build models of what we see and
experience in the future.
The Ocean Collage
A collaborative workshop to collectively understand ocean issues, both in terms of threats and opportunities, and how to act at the individual and collective level! Learn more HERE.
Step into the Doughnut
This workshop developed by the Doughnut Economics Action Lab aims to introduce the theory of Doughnut Economics in an experiential and accessible way. Learn more HERE.

Who is AwareNest?
We are a joyful open community of sustainability workshop facilitators in Sweden, rooted in the local Climate Fresk network. Our goal is to trigger the personal and collective shifts required to bring back societies within the principles of the doughnut economics: wellbeing for all, within safe planetary boundaries!
We spread sustainability awareness and engage people from all backgrounds by using collective intelligence workshops (often inspired by the pedagogy of Climate Fresk).

How can I help you?
What we need the most is outreach, attracting more participants to the event. We rely on you to invite your networks and friends!
Will there be food?
Thanks to your participation, we will make sure that sugar and caffeine will not run out. We will serve fika throughout the day with tea, coffee, and light snacks.
If you want to have lunch on site, you have two options: bring your own (cold) food, or buy a yummy vegan wrap through us for 95sek. Please select the option in the order form :)
How much does the event cost?
We want everyone to feel welcome to the festival. This edition has a 100 sek registration fee + adjustable donation (set at 100sek by default - please put more if your financial situation allows it or less if you can't afford it!). The workshop ticket includes all the afternoon activities.
All facilitators and organizers are happy volunteers. Our costs: rental of the venue, fika, and paying train tickets for the facilitators who don't live in Stockholm. Any excess will be used by AwareNest for future events like this one!
How can I pay?
You may pay by card via Stripe at checkout, or by Swish within 24h. Just follow the instructions in the order form. If you need another form of payment, contact us via the email at the bottom of this page!
Can I invite my colleagues?
This event is organized and run by volunteers, and the main goal is to invite the general public.
Although the topics are relevant for your professional activities, we expect you to join primarily with your "private person" hat on, just like us. Our community is happy to deliver all these workshops in a professional context, if that is of interest to your organization. Therefore, our rule of thumb is: maximum 3 participants from the same company. This does not apply to not-for-profit organizations.
Can I come late/ leave early?
Please reward yourself and the groups by attending the full duration of the workshops that you register for! Arriving late or leaving early could significantly affect everyone's experience.
I can't join... will there be other opportunities?
Who makes other plans on a Saturday?! :)
We at AwareNest want to continue organizing events, in Stockholm and throughout Sweden, so stay tuned on our social media @awarenest-se. We are also very happy to collaborate with other organizations on engagement and education projects!
What is an EQUINOX?
Equinox is the English word for "dagjämning": the astronomical event happening twice a year in March and September, when the Earth's axis is perpendicular to the sun's rays. On these days, every place on Earth gets the same amount of day and night, and many countries define it as the shift to a new season. This sparked the idea for us to host a recurring festival on these dates.
