AWAY WITH THE GIRLS 21+: BEGINNER AUTUMN PADDLEBOARDING!
This one has been on my adventure bucket list for a long time...so I am VERY excited...We’re heading for a 1.5 hour autumn paddleboarding adventure on Loch Faskally and the River Tummel! After we will aim to go to a local cafe for a post paddle social with both groups.
Join us as Pitlochry transforms into a rich canvas of golden yellows, fiery oranges, and deep reds. This route offers plenty of magical views and wildlife. This journey offers a perfect combination of tranquil waters and stunning scenery, making it an unforgettable paddleboarding experience in Scotland!
The Route:
Crossing Loch Faskally: Begin paddling on the serene, open waters of Loch Faskally. This stretch offers calm, reflective water, ideal for warming up and finding your balance. The surrounding forested hills cast a beautiful reflection across the loch, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Glide through the water, taking in the gorgeous autumn colours, rolling hills, and occasional wildlife sightings like ospreys, herons, swans, kites or ducks paddling nearby.
Entering the River Tummel: At the north-western edge of Loch Faskally, you’ll transition smoothly into the River Tummel, which meanders with a gentle current. The banks here are closer, bringing you right into Scotland’s rich forest landscapes. Tall pines and oaks arch overhead, creating patches of shade and sunlight across the water. The gentle current provides a bit of extra momentum, making for a relaxing paddle as you follow the river’s twists and turns.
