Our 2023 Historical Section meeting will be held at the Birmingham and Midland Institute. The venue is conveniently located in central Birmingham, 10 minutes walk from New Street Station. Car parking is available nearby (Paradise Birmingham is the closest car park), but we are in Birmingham’s clean air zone, so please check if your car is liable for a fee. There is a cafe at the BMI, and several pubs and restaurants nearby.

Doors open at 09:30 and the meeting runs from 10:00 – 12:00 and 13:30 – 17:00.

The BMI is home to the Robert Stawell Ball library of the Society for the History of Astronomy, which will be open to delegates.
