Inner Exploration for Creation with Shae
Inner Exploration for Creation with Shae
Yoga is a powerful practice that can cultivate a sense of calm and allow space to connect to something deeper. By focusing in on your breath and moving your body with intention, you can quickly relax your mind. Meditation creates the opportunity to dive deeper into your own psyche, unshackling from distracting thought patterns and accessing a truer self. Emerging from a yogic practice can feel akin to stepping out of a warm shower and finding yourself completely refreshed.
When your mind is calm and your body feels renewed, creativity can flow through. You may be struck by a sense of sudden inspiration, an original idea, or a new solution to a creative problem. This workshop seeks to harness the sense of peace that lingers after a movement and meditation practice, allowing time and space for creative expression.
A wide-variety of prompts will be provided, ranging from introspective questions for journaling, to story-building prompts for creative projects. Two fifteen minute creative sessions will occur, with space to continue on if the prompt resonates, or switch gears to a new project. This time could be used to start a short story, outline a poem, dive deeper into journaling, or draw creatively.
Whether you’re a writer, artist, or just looking to get more in touch with yourself, this space is for you. Pencils and paper will be provided. Come as you are, no prior experience is necessary.
What to Expect:
- Movement Practice: A feel-good flow blending vinyasa and yin elements to eradicate restless energy and focus the mind.
- Yoga Nidra Meditation: A meditative journey to transcend consciousness including body scan relaxation, breath awareness, and visualization.
- Gentle Guided Return: A space to slowly and peacefully arrive back into your body and mind.
- Creative Expression: Structured time to journal, write, or draw creatively with prompts provided.
