Deep Stretch: Hips with Tamara Belinda

Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM Baby Cobra Yoga - Bushwick - 47 Thames St. #203, Brooklyn, 11237

This 120min workshop, led by Ta.Ma.R.A Belinda, is designed to improve mobility, reduce tension, and restore functional balance in the hip complex and surrounding structures. The session focuses on the primary muscle groups influencing hip health, including the hamstrings, quadriceps, gluteal muscles, lower back, and lower abdominal region. Using a progressive and evidence-informed approach, we will move through a structured sequence that builds heat in the body to prepare connective tissue, followed by active deep stretching, controlled mobility exercises, and guided self-massage techniques to support lasting release and improved range of motion.

Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of hip function, along with practical tools and techniques they can safely incorporate into their regular movement or self-care routines to support long-term mobility and comfort. This workshop comes from personal experience and years of research and is for anyone seeking an increase in mobility and flexibility in the hips with deeper understanding. Come as you are, leave feeling lighter, grounded, and reconnected to your body.

About Ta.Ma.R.A: Tamara Belinda is a Crown Heights native with a focus on physical and spiritual alignment, based in the ancient African teachings of Kemetic (Egyptian) Yoga. She has been practicing and studying various forms of yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, and body alignment since 2009 but became more focused on listening to her body, weight training, and deep stretching in 2018 to realign her spine from 4 childhood injuries; 3 on her spine and one in her foot.
