The workshop will be a deep dive on all things flexibility with an emphasis on splits, hip mobility and back flexibility. Intended skill level is beginner, with plenty of modifications for those who are further in their movement practice.
This 90 minute training will open up with a warm up to best loosen the joints, then class will break into two parts:
- Splits and hip opening dynamic stretches followed by static holds to best get accustomed to maintaining shapes by building strength
- Back-bending and upper body flexibility training, consisting of drills designed to strengthen the spine and increase back mobility
We’ll play with asanas that use all elements we reviewed prior - open to the practitioner's preference and close out class with a short series of restorative postures.
About Kacy: Kacy Gonzalez is a New York native with a passion for movement. With hundreds of hours in various movement trainings, she to teaches movement as a form of exercise and holistic healing.
