Gendering Affirming Voice Community:

This group is designed to offer tools and vocal exploration for those who seek to guide their voice to match their expression. Gender-affirming voice work is a delicate practice that harnesses vocal technique, breathwork, and vocal awareness. This work is somatic and exploratory. The group offers a space to explore and talk about experiences with the voice, and for us, together, to offer new tools to align the voice more closely with the target voice.

As vocal work and each individual's desired outcome differ, the workshops are exploratory, allowing all voices to pick and choose the information they need. Nothing is prescribed. Nothing is set in stone.

The group hopes to meet once per month.

As this work privately can be costly, we will offer this group at a donation price with a suggested donation of $25. At door donation (day of tickets) will be available, capacity permitting.

Wolfe Lanier is a voice and communication coach specializing in vocal congruence voice work. He holds an MFA in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Hartt School. His training includes an apprenticeship and internship with a Seattle-based gender-affirming voice workshop program, giving him hands-on grounding in this specialized practice (please check them out if you aren't aware of their glorious work). Wolfe teaches voice and accents at drama schools in both London and New York, including the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He is trained in Fitzmaurice Voicework and Linklater and serves as a Junior Board Member of VASTA (the Voice and Speech Trainers Association). As a voice practitioner, his work centers on "vocal congruence", aligning a person's internal sense of self with their embodied vocal presence, a framework developed through his MFA research. He brings together vocal technique, breathwork, and somatic awareness to help people shape a voice that feels authentically their own. Check Wolfe's website here and their IG page here
