“Three dates and an "I love you"? That’s textbook narcissism.”

There’s no more complex a relationship than that of sisters. The intensity of love, the complex power dynamics and a deep sense of loyalty all combine to form into a bond bristling with tension and devotion.

Welcome to the chaotic reality of Anna and June - two sisters navigating the upheaval of moving out of their family apartment in the wake of their mother’s newest relationship.

The debut work of Australian playwright Miranda Michalowski is a sensitive and authentic exploration of self-image, family discord, and the immense pressure to appear perfect. It unearths the hidden cracks beneath seemingly ordinary lives and offers a sharp, powerful, and empathetic portrayal of modern womanhood.

Young Bodies/Somebody’s was first staged at the Flight Path Theatre in Marrickville, Sydney, (Gadigal Country) from May 21st-28th, 2022.

Yeah Nah Theatre is proud to bring this work to Queensland audiences for the first time
