Have you ever felt silenced by an adult?

Dear Adults... is a work created and performed by children aged 6-18 that emerged from Virag and her co-playwright Harry Fritsch’s engagement with youth in their community. It is a play in which youth express their ideas and thoughts about the world around them, expressing opinions which have often been silenced. At the end of the performance, the audience members are facilitated to write a letter to an adult/child in their lives which they can leave in our 'Dear Adults...' mailbox or give it to the person directly.

The first iteration of Dear Adults... debuted at the Anywhere Festival with a sold-out season this year to much critical acclaim including critics deeming a 'thought-provoking show about the questions and concerns about the next generation' and 'a show I yearned for when I was younger'.

In 2022, 'Dear Adults'.. was been programmed as a part of Brisbane City Council's Youth Week and toured local libraries in the first week of the April school holidays. The cast and company are excited to have a season at BackDock Arts in the July school holidays!
