After a spate of back-to-back productions, Nicholas ‘Prince’ Milverton will be showing the theatre play, ‘Stop that Nonsense’(2022) and the African-Australian feature film, ‘My Win is Yours’(2021) on the same night. My Win is Yours:
'My Win is Yours' is a new, independently produced feature film that skilfully explores concepts of traditional masculinity from a uniquely African-Australian perspective. The grittiness of lower socioeconomic life in South Brisbane is combined with comedy to create something truly unique.

Mark (Donne Ngabo) and Bisa's (Aurora Liddle-Christie) relationship is tested when Bisa gets the job of her dreams. Whilst Bisa experiences newfound success, Mark remains lost in his dead-end job. He is thrown into insecurity and paranoia before being forced to confront his own problems…

Stop that Nonsense:
‘Stop that Nonsense!’ is a short play that explores 'black excellence' and the pressures that manifest in family dynamics. Inspired by 20^th century sitcoms and the plays of August Wilson, Stop that Nonsense! focuses on a few drama-filled days in the Okorie household.

Linford (Daniel Udo Jnr.) is anxiously awaiting his son’s return from a boxing match when he begins to charismatically express his feelings to his wife, Evelyn (Fikrte Bushell). Although Sanka (Samuel Silver) comes home with success, he hides a secret from his loving but overbearing father…
