Join us for a Specialty Workshop with Shaka Brown!

In 2024, Baila DC aims to host more specialty workshops to help you unleash your creative side and be more expressive in your dance! As we end our current 6-week series' in December, we'll be offering three specialty workshops in January! These are drop-in workshops to help you keep working on your fundamentals until the next 6-week series starts up again on January 22, 2024! On Tuesday, January 16th we are excited to have a special guest instructor, Shaka Brown, at our La Cosecha location in DC for an Adv Beginner Footwork Workshop from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

This workshop is great for students who have taken our Level 1 and Level 2 classes at least once and would like to embellish their On2 salsa with musicality, style, body movement & footwork!

In this workshop, you'll work on:

• Enhancing your timing & incorporating musicality into your On2 basic
• Embellishing your On2 basic with body movement & isolations
• Learning a few new footwork combos & shines

It is recommended that students are comfortable with On2 timing and their salsa basic.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking in La Cosecha Parking Garage is free for the first 3 hours and $12 thereafter. Ample free parking is available in the lot in front of Union Market or on the street. Metro Access. Take the Red Line to the NoMA-Gallaudet U stop. Bus Access. The market is accessible by the U St-Garfield Metrobus lines (90, 92 and 93).
