Cupcake Decorating Techniques: Valentine, The Season of Love

Anytime is a perfect time for beautiful and delicious decorated cupcakes! In this hands-on class you will learn multiple techniques and unique Valentine inspired designs. And all of the techniques are applicable to any theme or season. This small intimate class will include a buttercream icing especially for cupcake designs. You will leave with the confidence to create them again for friends, family and clients. Everything is included. Class size is limited so register now and get ready to have fun and learn skills.

Included:
• Making specialty buttercream for piping
• Use of multiple piping tips
• Fondant cupcake topper
• Multiple piping techniques
• Techniques that can be used for any season

Students will take home:
• Cupcakes they decorate
• Specialty buttercream recipe

Skill level: Beginner

Age requirement: minimum age 16

BREAKS

Students will be given a 30 minute break halfway through class. Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch as area restaurants can get busy.

ARTIST PAT ASHLEY HOWARD

Pat Ashley Howard is a nationally acclaimed confectionery artist best known for her award winning gingerbread houses. In 2006 she created her first ever gingerbread house and won the annual National Gingerbread House Competition which features hundreds of diehard gingerbread artists yearly.

The following year she won the grand prize again and a third time in 2011. Since then Pat Ashley has made numerous appearances on the Food Network, The Travel Channel, and TLC to name a few. Her creations have been featured many times on Good Morning America, on display for Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and in Cake Masters magazine.

Gingerbread houses, and cookie and cupcake decorating are her other passions and she loves sharing and teaching the craft! But when she’s not baking most likely you’ll find her engaging in her other love …f folding colorful scrapbook paper into boxes and bags creating party favors for friends and family!
