Panoramic Sugar Egg

It’s the perfect time to join us for this unique and whimsical seasonal class. Panoramic sugar eggs are classic, beautiful, and full of unique charm. In this hands-on class, Pat Ashley will take the mystery out of making a showpiece with step-by-step instructions, rendering them perfect for display, sale, or gift giving. No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. This will be a small intimate class so register for your spot today.

Students will:

• learn the preparation of sugar for molding

• Learn proper filling and packing of the mold

• Create the decorations

• Receive instructions on the assembly and decoration of the sugar egg

Skill level: beginner to intermediate

Students will take home everything they create in class

Break: there will be a 30-minute break midway through class. Students are encouraged to bring a snack or lunch.

Age requirement: The minimum age for this class is 14.

ARTIST PAT ASHLEY HOWARD

Pat Ashley Howard is a nationally acclaimed confectionery artist best known for her award-winning gingerbread houses. In 2006 she created her first ever gingerbread house and won the annual National Gingerbread House Competition which features hundreds of diehard gingerbread artists yearly.

The following year she won the grand prize again and a third time in 2011. Since then Pat Ashley has made numerous appearances on the Food Network, The Travel Channel, and TLC to name a few. Her creations have been featured many times on Good Morning America, on display for Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and in Cake Masters magazine.

Gingerbread houses, and cookie and cupcake decorating are her other passions and she loves sharing and teaching the craft! But when she’s not baking most likely you’ll find her engaging in her other love …f folding colorful scrapbook paper into boxes and bags and creating party favors for friends and family!
