Attention all Junior Confectionery Bakers! Join us at The Confectionery Academy for a fun and instructional hands-on day of learning. We will make a variety of delightful and yummy treats to impress your friends and family. No experience is needed and everything is supplied. Just come ready to learn, have fun and even bring a friend to share the experience.
In this workshop, students will:
• Make scones from scratch
• Crazy crust pizza for lunch
• Coconut macaroons
Age requirement: 8 -12 years of age
Break: There will be a 30-minute lunch break during which students will eat the crazy crust pizza they made in class.

Take away: Students will go home with recipes and the yummy treats created in class.

ARTIST PAT ASHLEY HOWARD

Pat Ashley Howard is a nationally acclaimed confectionery artist best known for her award-winning gingerbread houses. She is the director of The Confectionery Academy and creator of Gingerbread Arts, an online site of gingerbread house-building video tutorials, gingerbreadarts.com.
Pat Ashley is a three-time winner of the National Gingerbread House Competition and has made numerous appearances on the Food Network, The Travel Channel, and HGTV to name a few. Her creations have been featured many times on Good Morning America, on display for Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and in Cake Masters magazine.
