Junior Baker's Workshop

Attention all Junior Bakers! Join us at The Confectionery Academy for a fun and instrumental hands-on day of learning. We will make a variety of delightful and yummy treats to impress your friends and family. No experience is needed and everything is supplied. Just come ready to learn , have fun and even bring a friend to share the experience.

In this workshop students will:
• make and bake Drop Biscuits
• make and bake Chicken Empanadas
• make Cookie Monster Fudge

Age requirement: 8 -13 years of age. Students must have hair pulled back as a safety precaution.

Break: there will be a 30 minute lunch break. Students will enjoy the lunch they make in class.

NOTE: please inform us in advance of any food allergies by calling 407-894-4458, notifying Pat Ashley or Francine. Vegetarian or vegan students should plan to bring their lunch.

Take away: Students will go home with recipes and the yummy treats created in class.

Cost: $75

All classes are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to our class policies. Please read through the policies when reserving your class time.

ARTIST PAT ASHLEY HOWARD

Pat Ashley Howard is a nationally acclaimed confectionery artist best known for her award-winning gingerbread houses. In 2006 she created her first-ever gingerbread house and won the annual National Gingerbread House Competition which features hundreds of diehard gingerbread artists yearly.

The following year she won the grand prize again and a third time in 2011. Since then Pat Ashley has made numerous appearances on shows like the Food Network, The Travel Channel, and HGTV to name a few. Her creations have been featured many times on Good Morning America, on display for Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and in Cake Masters Magazine.

Gingerbread houses and confectionery decorating are her other passion and she loves sharing and teaching the craft! But when she’s not baking and decorating she will be building real houses with her sister Laura.
