This beginner-friendly, hands-on class introduces students to the beautiful world of Russian piping and buttercream flowers — no previous piping experience necessary. You'll make American buttercream from scratch, learning the ingredients, mixing method, and exactly how to hit the right consistency for successful piping. From there, you'll learn how to color buttercream and prep both single-color and multi-color piping bags to create two-tone and multicolored flowers. You'll work with several different Russian piping tips across three cupcakes, learning how pressure, angle, and movement change the finished flower - plus troubleshooting tips for clean, well-defined results every time.

After 38 years in corporate finance, I traded in my suits for an apron and have never looked back.
Baking has always been a part of my life. I grew up in Austria, where I learned to bake alongside my grandmother, and those early memories created a lifelong love of baking and creating beautiful desserts.
Although I have baked throughout my life, I never imagined it would eventually become my second career. Today, through Sprinkles & Pop, I get to do something I truly love every day - creating beautiful buttercream floral cakes and desserts and now having the opportunity to share some of those techniques with others.
