Class: Intro to Marzipan

This class will be taught in English
Take the mystery out of marzipan in this hands-on class where students will make marzipan and learn how to use it. Plus you will color and hand shape marzipan into little traditional fruits. In addition you will also learn to shape marzipan using molds. Now is a great time to learn this confectionary craft perfect for holiday gift giving or sale.
All classes are booked on a first-come first-serve basis and are subject to our class policies.
Supplies are provided, no need to bring anything else besides yourself and a notepad.

Take Home:
Each student will take home their creations to share with family and friends.
Age Requirements:
The minimum age for this class is 15 years old.
Breaks:
Due to the length of the class we will include a short 15-minute break and not a full 30-minute meal break. Students are encouraged to bring a light snack.
Cost: $135
Photographs - Are permissible and we encourage sharing on social media. However, students sharing class material or step-by-step illustrations will not be permitted in future classes.
Videotaping - Is prohibited.

Meet your Instructor! ARTIST PAT ASHLEY HOWARD
Pat Ashley Howard is a nationally acclaimed confectionery artist best known for her award-winning gingerbread houses. In 2006 she created her first ever gingerbread house and won the annual National Gingerbread House Competition which features hundreds of diehard gingerbread artists yearly.
The following year she won the grand prize again and a third time in 2011. Since then Pat Ashley has made numerous appearances on the Food Network, The Travel Channel, and TLC to name a few. Her creations have been featured many times on Good Morning America, on display for Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and in Cake Masters magazine.
Gingerbread houses and cookie and cupcake decorating are her other passions and she loves sharing and teaching the craft! But when she’s not baking most likely you’ll find her engaging in her other love folding colorful scrapbook paper into boxes and bags creating party favors for friends and family!
