You’re never too young to learn useful skills in baking and confectionery art. In this 5 day summer workshop students will learn a variety of confectionary decorating and baking techniques. Each student will work at their own pace and everything is provided. Just come ready to learn and have fun. The workshop will fill up quickly so reserve your spot now! Please review ALL the following information.
In this 5 day workshop, students will be engaged in the following curriculum:
MONDAY - Make royal icing and decorate cookies in a variety of techniques.
TUESDAY - Make a special buttercream and decorate cupcakes in a variety of techniques
WEDNESDAY - Bake banana bread from scratch and make whimsical “triffles” in a cup.
THURSDAY - Make buttercream from scratch and decorate a cake using a variety of piping skills.
FRIDAY - Make puff pastry pizza for lunch. And bake fruit turnovers.
There will be a 30 minute lunch break and students are encouraged to bring their lunch each day except on Friday when students will make their lunch. Please advise us of any dietary restrictions.

Class will start promptly at 9:30 AM so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. All classes are booked on first come first serve basis and are subject to our class policies.

ARTIST PAT ASHLEY HOWARD
Pat Ashley Howard is a nationally acclaimed confectionery artist best known for her award winning gingerbread houses. In 2006 she created her first ever gingerbread house and won the annual National Gingerbread House Competition which features hundreds of diehard gingerbread artists yearly.
The following year she won the grand prize again and a third time in 2011. Since then Pat Ashley has made numerous appearances on the Food Network, The Travel Channel and TLC to name a few. Her creations have been featured many times on Good Morning America, on display for Ripley’s Believe it or Not, and in Cake Masters magazine.
Gingerbread houses, cookie and cupcake decorating are her other passions and she loves sharing and teaching the craft! But when she’s not baking most likely you’ll find her engaging in her other love …f folding colorful scrapbook paper into boxes and bags creating party favors for friends and family!
