Vivaldi at the Cathedral

Featuring performances of Vivaldi’s Cello Concerto in D minor and Dvorak’s Silent Woods, both performed by celebrated Irish cellist Ailbhe McDonagh, accompanied by dynamic new Irish ensemble `Anamus’.

It will be followed by a World Premiere of Ailbhe McDonagh’s composition `Irish Four Seasons’, with its blend of traditional music and Vivaldi, performed by Lynda O’Connor on violin.

The second part of the evening will include a performance of Vivaldi’s `Four Seasons’ by an 11-piece orchestra, conducted by the well-known David Brophy, with soloists AlibheMcDonagh on cello and Lynda O’Connor on violin.
