The Beach Ball with BROODS, Flamingo Pier (DJ Set), Imugi 이무기 & Leaping Tiger CANCELLED

Unfortunately, due to complications related to Covid-19, we’re very disappointed to announce that The Beach Ball tour has been cancelled.
As we are unable to proceed with the planned Northland dates – which make up almost half the tour – due to the current Covid alert settings,
we have reluctantly decided to cancel the tour in its entirety.

While we always endeavour to postpone rather than cancel shows, we have been unable to find a window to postpone this tour to due to our artists’ other summer commitments, and the fact The Beach Ball was curated for and planned around the Xmas/New Year holiday period.
We’re hugely disappointed, after what can only be described as a crummy second half of the year for shows. But, our silver lining is that we look forward to Beach Ball headliners BROODS’ album release tour in February/March 2022.

A big thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket for The Beach Ball at such an uncertain time. Your support is invaluable, and we look forward to bringing you plenty of other great shows later this summer and into 2022.

Summer’s on the horizon and Banished Music and The Edge are giving you something special to look forward to, as we celebrate Aotearoa’s live music scene with a tour headlined by pop sensations BROODS ahead of the 2022 release of their fourth album Space Island.

For the second year running The Beach Ball will visit some of the New Zealand's favourite beach towns and their iconic venues, to provide a party and soundtrack for holidaymakers looking to make the most of the season.

After a glorious first year in 2020/21 featuring Marlin’s Dreaming, Soaked Oats, and Daffodils, the follow-up tour is bigger and bolder – with 8 dates scattered between 26 December 2021 and 15 January 2022, and a line-up featuring some of the most exciting acts in NZ music.

Brother-sister duo BROODS are back from LA and ready to bust out some fresh material for their home crowd, including brand new single 'Piece Of My Mind', a classic BROODS anti-anthem marked with Caleb and Georgia Nott’s trademark wit and verve.

In support are psychedelic disco DJ duo Flamingo Pier, sure to bring crowds to an appropriate boiling point as they close out the show each night. Synth-pop R&B bedroom popstars Imugi 이무기 join the bill for all January shows, and emerging Auckland producer Leaping Tiger will open the dancefloor in Waihi and Oakura.

All shows will comply with government Covid-19 regulations as required.

Tickets for all The Beach Ball shows go on sale at 9am on Tuesday 19 October, 2021

In the event of show cancellations due to the impacts of Covid-19, ticket holders will be contacted directly and refunded in full from point of purchase.
Please note this event will require proof of vaccine certificates through the NZ Government 'My Vaccine Pass' system or a Ministry of Health certified exemption pass. If you don't have a 'My Vaccine Pass' or an official exemption, please do not purchase a ticket to this event, refunds will not be offered to those who purchase and can not provide proof upon arrival.
