Thank you for finding our half-day retreat event page! We'd love to welcome you to some calm after the Christmas rush, with an opportunity to release, relax, and nurture your mind and body in pregnancy and as you prepare for birth and parenthood.

Hosted by your passionate and expert team including a pregnancy yoga teacher, mindful birth doula, and reiki & sound healing therapist, you really are in safe hands to slow down, enjoy gentle movement, take some quality time for you, and to connect with your baby. The morning will flow between yoga practice, relaxation, birth mindset preparation, sound healing, and time to chat and ask questions too. During the breaks there will be homemade nurturing treats, refreshing teas and drinks, and chance to meet and connect with other local expectant parents.

What to expect:

  • A calm, safe, and inclusive space.
  • Pregnancy yoga (suitable for all levels) to release tension and learn safe movement and positioning in pregnancy.
  • Meditation and visualisations.
  • Soothing sound bath to deeply relax the mind and body.
  • Mindfulness tools and techniques for all births.
  • Nurturing snacks and drinks.
  • Some real you (and baby) time, a slower-paced haven in the rush of life.
  • Q&A for pregnancy, reiki, hypnobirthing, and anything else our retreat team can help with!
  • A chance to meet and chat with other local expectant parents.
  • A goodie bag to take away with you.

More about Pregnancy Yoga:

Pregnancy is a wonderful time to practice yoga. It can increase energy levels and help you connect with your growing baby, giving you confidence in your body’s ability to give birth. With breathing practices, relaxation techniques and yoga postures, you will find balance to help overcome any challenges during pregnancy, labour or birth.

More about Mindful Birth:

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present & aware of where we are and what we’re doing. It stops us from feeling overwhelmed or anxious by what’s going on around us. Using mindfulness for such a big and unpredictable event such as giving birth can be a power tool for helping parents have a more positive  and empowering experience. During this retreat we will tap into the power of the mind-body connection and create tools unique to you to take into your birth space, and beyond into parenthood.

More about Sound Healing:

Sound healing, using brass bowls, creates specific frequencies and harmonies that are said to heal the body. It connects you to your body giving you a focus that helps you de-stress, soothes the nervous system, and helps you manage anxiety. It can be a beautifully spiritual experience for some people. Sophie says 'trust me when I say the feeling lasts much longer than the session you will have with us'.
