Race Around The Region - Round Two

Round one was AWEEEEEEESSSOOOOME!! So let’s crack on with Round Two… back in Bedlington before the Christmas break!!

Over the 5 rounds, we'll visit all over the North East, from Northumberland to Teeside to County Durham.  Each round will consist of Novice (George Webster Memorial) and Expert categories across all age groups and finishing at the top end of the ages, well over 16 with the 'Flat Pedal Series', who will take home Action Man this year!? Remember, flat pedal series is ANY bike you want (well, no motorbikes), as long as you're on flat pedals, no clips allowed!

What category should you be in??  BMX is based on the age you are on the 31st December, in this case, as our race series pushes into 2022, you go in the category based on your age on 31/12/2022... so if you're 7, you'll go into the 7&8s....Simple.  Don't worry we'll see you right.

If you need to borrow any equipment, it's not a problem, but if you need a bike, can you let us know as soon as possible to make sure we have enough, but as it's a bit of serious fun, whatever 2 wheels you're comfortable on will do.

So, on Race Day.    

10:00 - Registration opens. Once you've registered you can start practice on the track

11:00 - Gate Practice

12:00 - RACING STARTS.... LEEEEETTSSS GET READY TO RUUMMMMBBBLLLEE!!

Each round works to your over all points score at the end.  Compete in 3 rounds and you'll qualify for a trophy, but we'll take your best 4 results and add them together to get the final standings.  Will you be taking home a coveted George Webster Memorial Trophy for your age group and have your name etched into eternity??

The series if for Novice and Expert, but swaying a bit to helping people learn about racing, so there'll be plenty of people on hand to help you out, show you how things work in a relaxed, easy going environment. The team will explain how all the race sheets work so you know when and where you need to be.

Full Series:

30th October - Barnesbury BMX

 2nd January - Barnesbury BMX (previously November, moved due to adverse weather)

15th January - North East BMX, Hartlepool

26th February - Hamsterley Trailblazers, Barnard Castle

March TBC - Barnesbury BMX on the shiny new track of beautifulness!!
