A Summer concert featuring Dvorak and Amy Beach

Dvorak's 8th symphony is full of luminous melodies and unexpected harmonic shifts. There are so many noteworthy moments that build up to a whirlwind finale that is delightfully Czech. We love playing it and you'll love listening to us playing it!

Amy Beach had this to say in 1917 -  "the joy of giving of your highest powers is beyond description … When I play there is only limitless enthusiasm and enjoyment". And this is a great summary of what you'll hear from her piano concerto. First premiered in 1900 it remains a wonderful piece to hear today.
