Basil is the Manager of the Cyber Academy at Edinburgh Napier University. He is also an Expert Witness in Digital Forensics & Cybercrime, a member of the BCS Influence Board and t member of three committees and sub-committees at the Law Society of Scotland. 

Basil is a guest speaker to universities and colleges and a keynote at academic and industry conferences and symposia around the world. 

This year, as part of Cyber Scotland Week 2024, Basil will endeavour a 24-hour Cyber Marathon with 24 online lectures and events. A carefully selected group of guests will be joining Basil on what is estimated to be the first such event of its kind.
