Tue 27 Feb 2024 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM GMT
Online, Zoom
Description
Join us for a stimulating conversation with a dynamic duo from SCOTLANDIS, the country's membership and cluster management organisation, for Scotland's Digital Technologies Industry.
Beverly Bowles is the Head of Cyber of the organisation and she runs a series of ITMS Community events; events for IT-managed service providers taking place across Scotland, aimed at emphasising the importance of embedding cyber security resilience in their organisations and how they can work with cyber security companies to better serve their clients.
Nicola Taylor is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and she is passionate about tackling the skills gaps in the tech sector and has led various ScotlandIS skills projects during her time with the organisation, including both the undergraduate paid placement programme, e-Placement Scotland, and the more recent Digital Critical Friends initiative. A law graduate from the University of Aberdeen, Nicola is an avid supporter of the Scottish digital tech industry and has been for almost 15 years.
David Ferguson is the Operations Head working in the cyber, data and asset protection sector including organisational security, resilience and professional services. Experienced in strategy development, supply chain management, manufacturing, logistics, process development, project management and governance through the application of quality and safety standards across multiple industry sectors. I have a strong interest and aptitude in the application of new technologies within security, defence, satellite, commercial and humanitarian environments.
We are promised a very interesting conversation about ScotlandIS's work with Managed Service Providers, Cyber Cluster, Skills and Development and Space.
This is a unique opportunity to get an all-around update on Scotland's cyber ecosystem.
