Bonjour, Anchorage! Celebrate Bastille Day and French culture with us on July 15th at the Petroleum Club of Anchorage, hosted by the Honorary Consul of France in Alaska. 

Whether you're fluent or took a few French classes in high school, or simply adore a good croissant (and glass of wine!), this event is for you. Mingle with Francophones and fellow France enthusiasts, and enjoy delicious French hors d'œuvres.

What is Bastille Day? It's France's national holiday (“fête nationale” or "fête du 14 juillet"), much like America's 4th of July. It commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in Paris on July 14th, 1789, and signaled the beginning of the French Revolution and an end to the monarchy.

So come raise a glass, practice your French (or just your best Bonjour), and celebrate Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (liberty, equality, fraternity) with us 🇫🇷

This fête is a labor of love: This event is hosted by a Parisian who wanted to share the spirit of Bastille Day with Anchorage, and as such, it is a not-for-profit event.
