Woodland Pollinator Garden Workshop - Planting Day
Sat 16 Mar 2024 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Bath City Farm, BA2 1NW
Description
Join Jude our Community Grower and Conservation Coordinator in Kelston Copse at the farm to help us create a new Woodland Pollinator garden.
We have received funding from WECA Pollinator Fund to enhance the farm’s biodiversity and this new garden is one of the areas of work. Over time we will observe the life that visits the new planting, and hopefully propagate the plants that flourish, to sell in our wildflower nursery at the farm from mid-late 2024 onwards.
Please let us know if you have any allergies or accessibility needs.
There is a relatively flat, short walk to the location of the workshop (approx 5 minutes). Wheelbarrows will need to be pushed, and tools will need to be carried by participants – please let us know on the day if you are unable to lift or push tools.
What to bring:
Please bring/wear weather-appropriate clothing, and please wear thick gloves and sturdy boots if you have them. Gloves and boots can be borrowed from the farm if necessary.
We will provide all tools for the day and safety equipment where required.
Facilities:
A hot vegan lunch will be provided (usually soup and bread). The farm’s café will be open and workshop participants can purchase lunch there with a 10% discount.
When at the farm you’ll have access to our volunteer kitchen and there will be tea/coffee breaks throughout the day. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, kettles, microwaves, plates, cutlery etc. You’re very welcome to use any of these but please do clear up when you have finished as these facilities are shared.
There are toilets located in the main farm building, including one inclusive and accessible toilet.
