From homegrown harvests to allotment gluts, this is a bounteous time of year. Come and learn the art of preserving, so you can avoid waste and enjoy delicious food all year round.

As well as watching demonstrations, you'll work together on a "joint effort" jam, pickle or sauce to divvy up and take home to enjoy. The workshop will use seasonal farm produce wherever possible, and delve into bottling, sun-drying, jamming, pickling, fermentation and cordials.

Whether you grow your own food, or are simply interested in buying in season and preserving to enjoy throughout the year, this practical workshop places an emphasis on using what you already have, low energy, low input and delicious results.
