Home Energy Briefing for FoBRA: Bath & West Community Energy
Thu 10 Oct 2024 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM BST
Online, MS Teams
Description
Please join us for a special briefing for Federation of Bath Residents’ Association members, covering the support available to make your home more energy efficient, and how your Association can support residents to do this. To cover:
1. Energy assessments: Currently WECA-funded vouchers through Retrofit West give a 70% discount on home energy assessments from approved providers, including BWCE, making the cost much more manageable. Retrofit West also has an Installer portal for energy efficiency installers.
2. Home Energy Neighbourhoods: We are bidding for funding to enable us to support a group approach to energy efficiency, providing assessments and a follow up service getting quotes if neighbours want to work together.
3. Green Open Homes B&NES: Our flagship Bath event is on the 12th and 13th October, and an overview of the range of homes involved.
4. Green Heritage Homes: BWCE’s grant funded project with B&NES Council and Bath Preservation Trust provides a new low-cost level of Listed Building Consent pre-pre app advice for energy efficiency measures, and a Listed Building Champions programme where homeowners can get the pre-pre app AND an energy assessment if they are prepared to provide a case study of their experience. We are also offering free advice for listed building owners in small group Spotlight Sessions, a webinar and videos.
5. Talks for Residents’ Associations: For larger Associations, we can offer talks on energy efficiency. We have done this already with the Widcombe Association through Go Green Widcombe.
6. Q&A
The session is likely to run for around an hour and will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams. We look forward to seeing you there.
