As co‑operatives and mutuals continue to experience transformative growth, our 2026 Summit theme, Trust is our currency, reflects the unique strength of member‑owned businesses. Co‑operatives and mutuals have trust in buckets. Our net promoter scores, customer satisfaction ratings and brand trust are consistently among the strongest in the Australian economy.
Trust is our currency will be our thematic North Star as we build a compelling case for policymakers, media, the community and capital markets that co‑operatives and mutuals offer a business model aligned with delivering a fairer, more egalitarian society and a productive, competitive economy that works in the interests of all Australians.
The Summit will explore the meaning of trust in business, institutions and markets, and its vital importance to a resilient and inclusive Australian economy, from housing and person‑centred care to financial inclusion, food security and climate resilience.
The 2026 program is designed for leaders across the co‑operative and mutual economy, from agriculture to AI, with the ever‑popular Leader Dialogue sessions returning, including discussions on member engagement, impact reporting and building trust.
