This workshop will be delivered by Megan Gimber, the Key Habitat's Officer for the People's Trust for Endangered Species (PTES). Megan has been working on the conservation of hedgerows for over a decade and has helped create the underpinning guidance for the new SFI CHRW1-3 hedgerow Actions. 

The morning session will involve a brief introduction to hedgerows, their historical context, how & why they are good for wildlife and how they can be best managed. After lunch, you will be taught how to carry out the required Hedgerow Condition Assessment (as required by SFI CHRW1) with the use of the Healthy Hedgerows Rapid Assessment survey methodology. A run through will also be provided of how this assessment can be made through either a new feature on Land App or through the Healthy Hedgerows App that has been developed by PTES.
