Bat Rehabilitation: Bats and Climate Change
Mon 2 Dec 2024 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM GMT
Online, Zoom
Description
Bat Rehabilitators are on the frontline of bat conservation. The records they have collected over years have the potential to inform bat conservation policy into the future, helping us with understanding the impacts of climate change.
We will present work we are doing at the University of Exeter under this project to understand impacts of climate change on UK bats using information collected by bat carers and rehabilitation centres.
We will discuss together the information we can get from long-term records, the challenges and limitations, as well as what bat carers would like to get out of this project and how we can help each other and bats!
