How to run a bat walk

With this course we will help you develop all the skills you need to run an engaging bat walk by yourself - you don't need to be a bat expert. We will walk you through the entire process, from planning and preparing your event to running the bat walk itself. You will be given the key information on bat biology, ecology and identification needed to become a confident wildlife guide and feel prepared to answer basic questions from the public.

This course is open to all and comprises 2 online sessions held 1 week apart to give you time to complete your "homework" - planning/prep for your bat walk - and bring the results to the second session for discussion and to ask your questions. It is live online training to facilitate discussion and allow you to get your questions answered by our team. 

Each session is approximately 1.5 hours and held online via Zoom.
