Join us for Beacon’s Family Fun Colour Run, a vibrant and exciting 5K event that’s perfect for families, friends, and individuals of all ages! Whether you choose to run, walk, jog, or even skip, this event is all about having fun while supporting a great cause.

This year is a huge milestone for Beacon as we celebrate our 150th birthday, and we want YOU to be a part of it! 

By taking part in this event, you’ll be helping us continue our vital work supporting people living with sight loss across the Black Country and Staffordshire.

The Details

Date: Sunday 11th May 2025

Location: East Park, Wolverhampton, WV1 2BS

Registration: 9.30am - 10.00am

Race Start: Warm up and race start 10.00am

What to Expect:

• A 5K route circling the park three times, ensuring a fun-packed experience.

• 14 colour stations where participants will be showered in brightly coloured paint powder as they pass through.

• Photos of the day, we have a dedicated event photographer capturing the vibrant moments and fun for free as you pass through the stations. Get ready for some spectacular shots as you're covered in a blast of colour!

• Brand new Colour Run Medal for every runner.

Raising sponsorship for our events goes a long way in helping us provide essential services to those who need us most. We welcome everyone to get involved whether you're a child, an adult or even a pro runner, every bit of fundraising makes a huge impact, every pound makes a difference!

Competition Alert!

We’re holding a special competition for the person who raises the most sponsorship money  for our Beacon's Family Fun Colour Run event. The competition will run throughout APRIL with the cut off date on April 30th.  The person who raises the most money will receive a £10.00 Amazon gift Voucher as a thank you for their incredible fundraising efforts. We'll contact the lucky person on May 1st, so make sure to get those sponsorship pages up and running!

Important Information:

• Unfortunately, this race is not suitable for dogs. However, if you rely on a guide dog and would like to take part, please contact us at supportus@beaconvision.org, and we will happily pair you up with a guided runner.

What do I need to know?

• All participants (whatever your age) need to wear sunglasses! You need to protect those eyes!
• Wearing a bright white t-shirt will make the colour powder pop!
• The price of the ticket includes a Colour Run 2025 medal for each participant
• We advise you to pre order your Beacon branded t-shirts, sunglasses and paint powder packets in advance as limited number are available, on the day any stock we have left will be available to purchase but we would hate for you to miss out.
