Asheville Drag Brunch is conjuring up another round of Alexis Drag Race on Sunday, October 6th, at 11:00 AM at plēb Urban Winery for a one-show-only spook-fest! This spine-tingling event includes a delicious brunch brewed by Biscuit Head, and proceeds will benefit the Open Hearts Art Center. Glittering ghouls of ages are welcome.

Will your favorite queen rise from the crypt to snatch the trophy? The power is in your haunted hands as you choose the winner in this ghoulishly glamorous showdown, hosted by the bewitching Alexis Black. Expect a cauldron of thrills with fierce lip-sync battles, and jaw-dropping performances that will raise the dead. Whether you’re a ghoul, a glamazon, or just love a good scare, join us for this bewitching bash!

What sets Alexis Drag Race apart is its unique audience participation element. Each spectator plays a crucial role in determining the entertainer who will claim the coveted trophy. Upon admission, each attendee receives a voting token, transforming them into an integral part of the show. Drag enthusiasts can vote for their favorite performer by placing dollars into their designated tip jars, and watch as the votes accumulate. The entertainer with the highest number of votes not only secures the title of champion but also contributes to the success of a meaningful cause.

Pleb Urban Winery generously hosts the event. Plēb recalls the microbreweries that started popping up in every midsize American city a couple of decades ago: a taproom in a downtown industrial building, fermenting tanks in view, street art–style murals decorating the walls. However, Plēb is much more deeply rooted in the countryside than its urban-winery model might suggest.Their tasting room is a reflection of the way wine should be consumed — with friends and community in a laid-back environment. Proceeds from this spooktacular will benefit Open Hearts Art Center, a nonprofit studio and gallery dedicated to representing and empowering adults with varied abilities to connect to and reach their full potential through the arts.
