Get ready to laugh the night away at “Pageant: The Drag Show”, an evening of faux drag pageantry where the audience chooses the winner! The shenanigans start at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31st at Highland Brewing Event Center. Celine and Company will cater a mouth-watering dinner as the comedy and chaos unfold, and proceeds from the evening will benefit SeekHealing. Attendees can look forward to an uproarious evening filled with dazzling drag performers, unexpected talents, and runway antics that promise non-stop laughter. Contestants will sashay, stumble, and slay their way through surprise categories, all while competing for the delightfully over-the-top title of “Miss North Carolina Southeast USA International Universe at Large.” The evening will be hosted by the incomparable Divine, Asheville’s own Grand Dame of Sass and Sequins, who will guide the pageant with her signature wit and flair. With twists, turns, and theatrical triumphs, the competition unfolds in unpredictable and hilarious ways. To top it off, the audience holds the power, voting to decide which performer will take the crown in this fabulous showdown.

The event takes place at The Event Center at Highland Brewing. Proceeds from this event are donated to SeekHealing, a community-sourced treatment model that empowers people to heal from trauma rather than achieve specific outcomes. They provide free support services at any stage in the process of healing from trauma and/or addiction and mental health challenges. In a hyper-local, community mental health approach, SeekHealing is a grassroots “social health” project to facilitate experiences of meaningful human connection between neighbors.
