If you have ever had the pleasure of visiting Alexander’s Comedy Club in Chester ( Britain’s longest running provincial comedy club, we are told) then, the chances are, you have had the pleasure of seeing it’s resident compere; Danny Mcloughlin. As well as Alexander’s he regularly performs at The Comedy Store, The Glee and Manford clubs, various music festivals and been regular MC for the coveted Edinburgh Comedy Awards Gala. Self styled ‘International Word Clown’ Gordon Southern divides his time between the UK and, as soon as it starts to get a bit nippy, Australia, where he has quite a following. If that’s already making you a tiny bit jealous then just wait to hear how he has wowed the crowds in Kuala Lumpur, Bratislava and Jakarta. Gordon even headlined Serbia’s first ever comedy festival and has been booked twice for football governing body UEFA in Switzerland (Technically, shouldn’t that count as a sending off?) and was the voice of the parrot in the Admiral insurance advert.
