Car parking information:
We wanted to inform you all regarding some building works taking place on the site next year starting from January 2022.
The Bedford College Group recently received funding to improve the Bedford Sixth Form, which will considerably benefit the students and the wider Bedford community. Works include establishing state of the art science facilities, improving the buildings overall sustainability and constructing a new wing, to facilitate the growing number of students wishing to study at the sixth form.
Due to the amount of work taking place, the decision has been made by The Bedford College Group to close the shared car park. This is to ensure the works can take place safely for all staff, students, and customers who use the site facilities here will be a considerable amount of work, due to the extensive number of heavy good vehicles, we have taken this decision for the safety of our staff and customers as it is not conducive to have people walking through this area.
One half of the car park will be used for portable cabins, used for temporary classrooms and the builders working on site. The other half of the car park will be used for the heavy goods vehicles and cranes working on the site.
The car park will be closed from January 2022 and will be closed until the 31st of October 2022.
This will mean that no staff or customers will be able to park on-site whilst the works are taking place between January and October 2022.
We have a map which is available for all customers showing the nearest car parking facilities with all of the prices for these, if you would like to have a copy of this, please email Jamie at jhinckley@trinityleisure.co.uk.
We will also be opening the entrance through The Crescent gate and the west door of Trinity Arts and Leisure as of Monday 3rd January 2022. There will still be foot access through gates found along Bromham Road, but these may change whilst the works are progressing, whilst the Crescent Gate entrance will be the preferred and safest entrance for all Trinity customers and staff.
We understand that this will have an overall effect on the facilities’ day-to-day running. We will continue to work with Bedford College to ensure that disruptions and delays are minimised.
If you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to email Jamie at jhinckley@trinityleisure.co.uk, and Jamie can assist or pass them on to the correct person.
