It's 2021 and Beeston Tales is still a monthly storytelling night. While it's not safe for us to gather together in person in our eponymous beloved Beeston, we'll be hosting our events at the digital hearthside. Please come and join us!
For the January celebration of the turning year, our resident hosts are joined from Sweden by Katrice Horsley. A former national storytelling laureate, Katrice is a dynamic, creative storytelling force. I first encountered her telling at Festival at the Edge back in 2007, where her cleverness and craft held me rapt. Prepare to be swept up and away.
We are the Weaver, we are the thread. Coming back from the place we're led.
Streaming in from Wales, we'll also be joined by soulful and sublime troubadour Owen Shiers. Owen is an ingenious performer, creator of Cynefin, a musical map of the lost songs of Ceredigion.
It's going to be an enchanting evening!
Two kinds of tickets are available. A "General Admission" which will set you back £5 per device, and a "Discount Ticket"... which is free. We know times are harder for some people than others right now, and we'd much rather have you with us than not.
So do come and join us. When you purchase the ticket, you'll be sent the online link. We'll fire out an email on the night of the performance as well, just to make sure you don't miss it. Please don't share these links around. The event will be brought to you by Zoom - It's not tricky. You'll want to download it in advance, which you can do by clicking the link to join ahead of the event.
