Forms In The Air
An evening of music for cello, bass and solo piano inspired by the notion of music as abstract forms in the air.
Join us as we present an installation style concert of beautiful minimalist music designed to sit around Behind the Mirror’s second ever commission: Figures of Eight, a duo for cello & bass written by Edmund Finnis.
Clare O’Connell (cello), Elena Hull (bass) and Viv McLean (piano) present a programme to include works by composers including Howard Skempton, Huw Watkins, Robin Haigh, Kathryn Tickell, Nadia Boulanger and Gavin Bryars and including Peter Maxwell Davies’ enchanting Farewell to Stromness.
