About Girl Talk:

Empowering Muslim Girls with sound knowledge of the deen, character development skills, and core competencies to become leaders of self and others within the community.

Speaker bio:

Sister Abeer Anees is a student of knowledge, she began her journey of formally studying the Quran in 2012, she completed the Taleem ul Quran and Taleem ul Hadith diplomas from Al-Huda institute Canada. She has been involved in learning and teaching Quran for the past decade.

She likes to live by the hadith of prophet saw: The best of you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it!

Sr Abeer is actively teaching youth and adults Quranic tafseer. She has spoken at various conferences and MSA events.

She is also currently teaching the "Qur'anic Guidance" series; a class conducted in American sign language, designed to convey the words of Allah to the Canadian deaf Muslim community.
