BIOS

Danielle Ofri is a founder and Editor-in-Chief of BLR. She is a primary care internist at Bellevue Hospital and a clinical professor of medicine at NYU. Her writing appears in the New York Times, The New Yorker, the New England Journal of Medicine, and elsewhere. A Guggenheim fellow, she is the author of seven books about life in medicine, including her newest, The Body Knows How to Die. www.danielleofri.com

Doris W. Cheng is a Taiwanese American writer and editor based in the New York City area. She is the author of a fiction chapbook, Earthling (Word West Press, 2021), and her work appears in Boston Review, Shenandoah, New Orleans Review, Witness, The Normal School, The Southampton Review, and other literary magazines. She serves as Associate Fiction Editor for Bellevue Literary Review.
