Immerse yourself in a day of tapestry weaving.

This class is for beginners to weaving, as well as those who want to take their tapestry weaving a step further.

Learn to prepare your tapestry frame and get to grips with plain weave – then try simple and effective shapes and practice blending colours. During the day you'll discover tips and tricks to improve your weaving. At the end of the class, you'll learn how to remove your work from the frame and finish off securely.

Tapestry weaving allows you to slow down a little and be creative with an art form that plays with colour and design. It's the perfect antidote for busy people with busy lives and is easy to continue at home once you have the basic skills.

Biography:

Bridget Lane is an award-winning tapestry weaver. Her contemporary pieces have been shown in exhibitions in the UK and Australia, and she is a selected Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
