Emergency first aid training should be on everyone’s list of essential skills to learn. This workshop will show you how to carry out basic lifesaving actions in case of any life-threatening emergencies to a child under the age of 2 years old. Babies and small children who suffer life-threatening conditions have a much better prognosis when appropriate lifesaving procedures are started within minutes of the event happening. Though it may not seem very common, these events do happen, and knowing the basic maneuvers can make a life-changing difference. This workshop will begin with a short talk followed by a practice on dummies. It includes a discussion on what may cause an immediately life-threatening event, as well as an illustration of how to recognize signs of serious illness. There will also be an opportunity to practice the injection of an EpiPen in severe allergic reactions – granting you the confidence to carry out the appropriate immediate response during an emergency. No previous knowledge, experience or other preparation is required to register. Training gadgets will be provided during the session. Please note:
