Analogue Animation Workshop: One day creative session with director Miranda Peyton Jones

Sat 21 Mar 2026 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM GMT Bell House Heritage Crafts Room, SE21 7BG

Join animation director and lecturer Miranda Peyton Jones as she leads you through a beginner session in Analogue Animation!

All are welcome in this introductory workshop where you will learn to bring drawings and paper-cutouts to life.

This session is for anyone interested in exploring moving image and creativity. Whether you have dabbled in stop-motion animation before, or are completely new to the process, come along and play, learn and try out ideas in motion.

In this session Miranda shall guide you through introductory principles of animation; from character design and storyboarding, to timing and frame rates. This will be a space to play with materials and create short scenes or stories. Participants should expect to leave with one or more pieces of analogue animation.

All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own colour paper, scissors, pencils, and pens if you wish.

The workshop costs £35 per person.
