Games & Drama SEN Programme (9-15s) - Week 2

Tue 7 Apr 2026 11:30 AM - Fri 10 Apr 2026 2:30 PM BST Bell House, SE21 7BG

The Games & Drama Programme is designed for neurodivergent and young people aged 9–15 who find social spaces daunting, but still want connection, fun, and a place where they can feel comfortable being themselves. It offers a calm, structured environment where young people can join in playful group activities at their own pace and enjoy time with peers who understand them.

Delivered by SEN Manny Mentor, a specialist SEN mentoring and tutoring organisation, the programme uses games, creative challenges, and drama-based activities to support emotional regulation, communication, and confidence. Sessions are practical and participatory, with no pressure to perform. Young people are encouraged to take part in ways that feel manageable, whether that means joining in fully, observing at first, or engaging alongside others.

The programme reflects a core belief of SEN Manny Mentor: that young people educated through EOTAS, home education, or those still linked to school but struggling to cope, deserve access to meaningful peer groups and shared experiences, not only individual support. This programme creates space for connection and enjoyment, while gently supporting readiness for learning and growing independence within our wider bespoke SEN provision.

Alongside holiday delivery, the Games & Drama Programme is being developed to run during term time, offering continuity and regular opportunities for connection across the year. All sessions are delivered by experienced Specialist SEN mentors who create a calm, safe atmosphere where young people can be themselves, with flexibility around how they take part.

The activities are designed particularly for neurodivergent children or children who may feel anxious in group settings, however, others are also welcome if they feel the approach would suit their child.
