Tapestry Weaving for Beginners and Improvers

Multiple dates and times Bell House, SE21 7BG

Immerse yourself in a day of tapestry weaving. This class is for beginners, as well as those with some experience, and the perfect practice session to improve foundational weaving skills.

Start by setting up a tapestry frame with a warp structure for your weaving. Get to grips with plain weave, then add geometric shapes weaving with multiple weft bundles. Play with a wide choice of colours, experimenting with blending to create unique effects.

You'll learn plenty of tips and tricks to improve your weaving, and by the end of the day, you will have made your own small tapestry to take home.

Tapestry weaving allows you to be creative with an art form that plays with colour and design. It's the perfect antidote for busy people with busy lives and is easy to continue at home once you have the basic skills.

All weaving materials and instruction are included.

The class will stop for a lunch break. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or there are cafés nearby in Dulwich Village.
