Join in with the Christmas creativity with local print-maker Alice Peake for this introductory workshop into the endangered craft form of Letterpress. Within this festive workshop, you will learn how to print bespoke letter pressed decorations and Christmas cards. If you’re new to printmaking and fancy creating decorative ornaments for the Yule-tide, or just want to relax and learn a new print-making craft, then this workshop is perfect for you!
Alice is a multi-disciplinary Illustrator with a background in textile design and print. Since graduating with a BA in Decorative Arts, she has worked extensively within a number of print and illustration projects, such as Left Lion Magazine, Castle Rock Brewery and Verve Poetry Press. Recently, Alice has turned her interests to the opportunities involved in using art as a medium for enabling the learning and development of others. Currently, she assists in hands-on workshops with the V&A and Bell House and in the past, has worked with The National Justice Museum, Loughborough University Arts and Nottingham’s Women’s Centre.
